DSX Channel Adapter do not include the RJ45 connection in your test and measurement.

To test a Modular Plug Terminated Link (MPTL), you will use a permanent link adapter and a single DSX patch cord adapter. The patch cord adapter makes the test include results from the RJ45 field terminated connection at the
remote end of the link.

The typical life expectancy of the special laboratory tested RJ45 jack is 5,000 insertions, and it can be replaced with care for 10 more times.

Use the DSX patch cord adapter and test limit that match the category of the cable in the link:
• Cat 6A links: DSX-PC6A with the TIA Cat 6A MTPL test limit
• Cat 6 links: DSX-PC6 with the TIA Cat 6 MTPL test limit
• Cat 5e links: DSX-PC5e with the TIA Cat 5e MTPL test limit
